Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Each item should account for 10% or more)

· Perform electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures during production

· Repair or produce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses or other shop equipment

· Assemble, install or repair electrical or electronic devices, pipe systems, machinery or equipment

· Troubleshoot electrical circuits of machinery, and equipment using schematics and manuals

· Test all repairs and installations for correct functionality

· Must be able to troubleshoot and repair electrically driven operating systems and equipment.

· Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and PLC Motor Control with VFD’s

· Record all work, and parts used in computerized maintenance management system

· Assure food safe and safe work practices with company policies are adhered to at all times

· Comply with food safety practices and all applicable requirements as they pertain to SQF and that are maintained

· Support company driven food safety improvement initiatives



Job Requirements:

The work environment is cool and wet with temperatures ranging from 34 to 38 degrees Fahrenheit. The physical demands of this position are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job the associate is primarily asked to stand and walk. Light, periodic lifting will be required. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds (with assistance) and must be able to multi-task in a fast paced, noisy environment.

· Knowledge and capabilities of electrical/electronic troubleshooting and installation techniques

· Mechanical repair and mechanical knowledge of machinery found in a manufacturing environment

· Must work with a sense of urgency

· Ability to follow associate and food safety policies procedures and guidelines
