Job Description:

The Receiving Clerk's responsibilities include ERP usage/data entry, verifying delivered items, unloading trucks, ensuring items are stored correctly, and processing receipts and returns in a timely manner. To be successful as a Receiving Clerk you should be able to inspect deliveries with great attention to detail. Ultimately, Receiving Clerk should be able to ensure efficient receiving processes and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.

Receiving Clerk Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming purchase orders and comparing those orders to packing lists to ensure conformity, includes visual/measure inspection of incoming “6” digit numbers.
  • Receive manufactured jobs and purchase parts into the Enterprise Reporting System (ERP) and storing parts in proper inventory locations.
  • Picking parts and issuing of parts in the computer system for both contract orders and repair orders to meet build and delivery schedule.
  • Receiving, unloading and signing for deliveries.
  • Updating inventory with received items in a timely manner.
  • Deliver job packets and material to machine shop when material is available.
  • Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with entering data into an ERP system.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
