  • Operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, form, shear, slit, split, punch, crimp, notch, bend, stamp or straighten metal. (Common machine operations include, but not limited to, Manual Press, Pulley, Automatic Welder, Notching, Spot Weld, Robotic Weld, Assembly, Riveter, Press Helper, CNC Saw, Secondary, CNC – 1 and Automatic – 1.)  
  • Must meet or exceed all Safety, Quality and Production guidelines/standards.  
  • Must have the ability and willingness to be cross-trained in any of the Machine Operator – Associate Level 1 positions.  
  • Must be able to verify part conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers.  
  • Examine parts for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.  
  • Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances.  
  • Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data. Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.  
  • Clean and lubricate machines. Position, align, and secure parts against fixtures or stops on machine beds or on dies.  
  • Provide and receive necessary information to and from supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, and/or in person.  
     

Physical Demands/Work Environment  of the Assembler are, but are not limited too;    

  • Requires prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, and stretching. May be required to  lift  up  to 25 pounds continuously throughout an eight (8) hour shift and 50 pounds occasionally.    
  • Requires normal vision and hearing range. Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.    
  • Must wear steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, arm guards and any other required Personal Protective Equipment.  
  • Ability to work  overtime  as production needs require, including coming in before/staying after a scheduled shift. Weekends may  also  be  required.    
  • Candidates are required to have a high school diploma/GED.    
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for these openings as well.
